SummaryOur Nestle Development Center (NDC) in St. Joseph, MO is
home to confident, well socialized dogs and cats who help us learn,
research, and better understand the well-being of pets and promote
the human animal bond. You'll work alongside a team passionate
about pet care that ensures our pets have the best quality of care
while participating in cutting edge pet food research. Our center
is located near the metropolitan area of Kansas City, within 30
minutes of the Kansas City International airport. St. Joseph is a
tight-knit, rural community packed with character, still within
commuting distance to the city thus, providing many residential

Veterinarian, you will help work alongside our team of exceptional
doctors and veterinary staff to provide veterinary care to our
exclusively canine and feline population. With a focus on

to develop and enhance your technical skills during this one-year
employment.Assist with necessary veterinary procedures to ensure
the health and well-being of care of our pets including routine
check-ups, surgeries, dental care, and emergency treatmentsPerform
physical examinations, request, and perform diagnostic tests,
determine rule outs and diagnoses, and prescribe treatmentMaintain
all health records as required by the record retention policy and
the Animal Welfare ActConduct all activity in compliance with
generally accepted veterinary practice, Good Laboratory Practices
(GLP) and all required Company policies and proceduresMaintain a
safe, clean, and sanitary work environmentParticipate in project
work with our Nutritional, Trials, and Animal care
teamsRequirementsDoctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree OR will
have obtained a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree by May of
2025OtherExperience in a research environment or clinical practice
is preferredMust be able to lift 50+ poundsThe approximate pay for
this position is $100,000.00. Please note that the pay provided is
a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting.
Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not
limited to background, knowledge, skills, and abilities as well as
geographic location of the position. Nestle offers
