SummaryOur Nestle Development Center (NDC) in St. Joseph, MO is
home to dogs and cats who help us learn and better understand the
well-being of pets and promote the human animal bond. When you join
us, you'll work to ensure our pets have the best quality of care
while participating in cutting edge pet food research. Research
that contributes to innovative, first to market dietary solutions
as well as trusted all life stage pet food. Our center is located
near the metropolitan area of Kansas City, within 30 minutes of the
Kansas City International airport. St. Joseph is a tight-knit,
rural community packed with character, still within commuting
distance to the city thus, providing many residential
opportunities.As an Associate Technician in the Pilot Plant, youll
be actively engaged in a dynamic and quality-focused environment,
contributing to the execution of formulation and product
manufacturing trials specifically focused on our wet food product
lines. Your role will involve providing valuable assistance and
support throughout the entire process, ensuring the smooth and
efficient operation of these trials.Organize and prepare
formulations, ensuring accuracy and adherence to protocolsSafely
conduct pilot plant trials, following established procedures and
maintaining a high standard of safetySet up, operate, and clean
food-processing equipment, ensuring proper functioning and
cleanlinessRegularly perform maintenance tasks and
assemble/disassemble equipment for different trialsMaintain
accurate records of data as specified in pilot plant
requestsPrepare comprehensive summaries of trial results,
incorporating observations and recommendations for processing and
product enhancementsStrictly adhere to all facility policies
regarding safety, security, and compliance with Good Laboratory and
Good Manufacturing Practices (GLP & GMP)RequirementsHigh school
diploma or GED equivalent2+ years of end-to-end manufacturing
processing/operations experience and/or mechanical
maintenance/troubleshooting experienceOther1+ years of experience
with material handling equipment such as forklift, Powered
Industrial Truck (PIT) equipment, motorized pallet jack, etc. is
preferred1+ years of professional experience on a computer is
preferredWorking knowledge of factory pet food/food processing
equipment and operations is preferredMust be able to perform the
physical requirements necessary, such as lifting and carrying up to
50+ pounds, to meet the expectations of job assignmentsMust be
willing to work Monday through Thursday from 6:50AM-4:20PM and
Friday from 6:50AM-10:50AM.The approximate pay range for this
position is $40,000.00 to $55,000.00. Please note that the pay
range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the
time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors
including but not limited to background, knowledge, skills, and
abilities as well as geographic location of the position. Nestle
